About Me

I'm Vicki.

Woman. Wife. Mother.

I am a 39 year old, living with ADHD, Fibromyalgia and BPD - and suspected autism.

I am a former counsellor of 15 years, specialising in grief and couples therapy, operating in the UK.

I was officially diagnosed with ADHD in Nov 2022, and have spent the year doing what we all do in the beginning - unpicking my life whilst trying to make sense of it.

I was lucky - I managed to eventually find a Doctor that would listen to what I was saying.

Doctor Malhan at Talkmind changed the course of my life and I shall be forever greatful to him.

But there aren't enough professionals like him out there in the world. That is the simple truth.

This site was created because I wanted to offer a safe space to neurodivergents and their family members,

to explore the themes associated with divergence, learn and grow as they educate themselves.

I set out to build a community that would be supportive when our families couldn't or wouldn't offer us that.

What I have found in the short time I have been on this journey, is that many of us feel completely alone.

We know our neurotypical family and friends cannot possibly understand the nuances of living our lives.

Most of us feel as though we are merely tolerated - which doesn't have to be the case.

I may have lofty visions of what our futures could look like, and they may be completely unachievable in the

real world, but wouldn't it be amazing to have a community of diverse people, all supporting one another,

cheering us on when we need it? Wouldn't it be nice to have one place to visit, with resources shared

freely and minds communicating openly?

That right there... Is the dream.
